Diane Warren will receive the 2019 Honorary Clio Entertainment Award for her iconic music moments in film at this year's Clio Entertainment Awards ceremony, which will be hosted by comedian Craig Robinson Nov. 21 at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre.
The illustrious songwriter has racked up five Golden Globe nominations and 10 Oscar nods for having her songs featured in over 100 feature films, including Celine Dion's No. 1 hit "Because You Loved Me" from Up Close & Personal and Aerosmith's No. 1 track "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" from Armageddon.
"Diane Warren's creative impact as a songwriter is unmatched, especially in the way her songs have been used as a medium for making audiences fall in love with film and television," said Ashley Falls, director of Clio Entertainment, in a press release. "Think back to any time a piece of music has really embedded a scene into your brain and chances are Diane Warren was behind the music and lyrics. It's that otherworldly power to turn spectators into fans that we look for in both our honorees and the creatives that we've made it our business to celebrate."
The Grammy award-winning songwriter also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2001. Warren's impressive music resume even continues into the publishing sector, as her own company Realsongs is the "most successful female-owned and operated business in the music industry," according to the release.
Warren continues to work with stars like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Adele, Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Janelle Monae and Zendaya. Recently, she wrote the original song "I'm Standing With You" for Chrissy Metz in the 2019 film Breakthrough -- which she performed at the 2019 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards back in April.
