On June 13th, Clio Sports will hold its sixth annual awards show in New York City. The awards are awarded to “honor the best in sports advertising and marketing,” and Awful Announcing can reveal that this year’s awards show will be hosted by ESPN’s Katie Nolan.
“Katie’s fresh and witty approach to sports commentary will be a great compliment to our annual program,” said Nicole Purcell, President of Clio. “We’re thrilled to have her on stage to keep our audience on their toes as we celebrate another year of game-changing creative work.”
The host of last year’s show was NFL Network’s Deion Sanders.
A number of ads and campaigns you’ve seen over the past few years have won awards, including MLB’s Bryzzo ad, the NFL’s Eli Manning/Odell Beckham celebrations spot from last year’s Super Bowl, and BeIN’s El Clasico bed campaign.
The deadline for Clio Sports submissions is March 15th.
