To kick off the ceremony, attended by leading sports executives, advertising creatives, league commissioners, athletes and other industry titans, host Katie Nolan joked that, “it has been a great year in sports. Creative Director Mark Carolan accepted for “Start Your Impossible,” which earned the trophy for Integrated Campaign and for “@SeeLikeMenna,” the grand winner in Partnerships, Sponsorships & Collaborations, taking a moment to recognize the campaign’s star Menna Fitzpatrick and her incredible success as a skier with just 3% vision. For “NBC + Paralympics,” the grand winner in Innovation, Amy Petersen, Group Media Director, was on hand to receive the team’s statue.
Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk took the stage to accept the 2019 Clio Sports Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to him by “Saturday Night Live” Weekend Update Co-Anchor Michael Che.
