The program is dedicated to awarding the creative contributions of the marketers and communicators that push boundaries, permeate pop culture, and establish a new precedent for artist self-promotion, music marketing, brand collaborations, and the use of music in advertising.

CLIO MUSIC PROGRAM UPDATES

  • Clio Music “Of The Year” Awards – This year Clio Music will present Label, Music Publisher, and Agency “Of The Year” awards to those scoring the most statue points for entries submitted across all medium types.

  • NEW mediums in Music Marketing:

    • Creative Effectiveness – entries in this new medium focus on work that produced measurable results and used a creative tactic to achieve a brand’s purpose.

    • Public Relations – entries in this new medium include marketing efforts and brand communications that impact artist, music brand, or organization perception, awareness, and/or garner media coverage. Categories include album launch/artist promotion, brand and artist collaboration, music label/publisher/product/service, and special event/stunt.

  • NEW categories in Music Marketing existing mediums:

    • Design – new categories for Data Visualization, Direct Marketing, Editorial, Out of Home, and Sustainability have been added to this medium.

    • Digital/Mobile – NEW categories for E-commerce and Emerging Technology have been added to this medium.

    • Social Media medium – NEW categories for Multi-Platform, Single-Platform, Social Post, Social Video have been added to this medium.

  • Use of Music / Experience/Activation – entries in this new category are for the use of music in experiences that connect a brand and its target audience.

  • New Juries – We have added three new juries (Film/Video and Creative Effectiveness within Music Marketing, and Trailers/Teasers within Use of Music).
