The King of Pop Culture Will Reveal the 2019 Grand Clio Winners from the Manhattan Center in New York City on September 25
NEW YORK—(August 8, 2019)— The Clio Awards, the premier international awards competition for the creative business, today announced Emmy-winning host, producer and author Andy Cohen will host its 60th annual awards ceremony. As part of his duties, Cohen will serve as master of ceremonies at the black tie affair that will honor the 2019 winners, highlight six decades of Clio history and reveal the recipients of the coveted Grand Clio, “of the year” and specialty awards from the stage at The Manhattan Center in New York City on September 25th.
“What has always made the Clio Awards different than other advertising competitions is our connection to pop culture,” said Clio president, Nicole Purcell. “Since we’re celebrating our 60th anniversary this year, we knew we needed our host to have a strong link to that part of our history. Plus, we have a ton of surprises up our sleeves and, after watching him host so many ‘Housewives’ reunions, we knew Andy could pull off anything we threw his way.”
Best known as the host and executive producer of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” he also serves as executive producer of “The Real Housewives” franchise and is a New York Times best-selling author. Cohen has been named one of Fast Company’s “100 Most Creative People in Business,” GQ’s “25 Best Dressed Men of the Year” and TV Guide’s “25 Most Influential People in Television.”
“I got my first taste of the Clios when I presented an honorary award to my good friend Sarah Jessica Parker in 2014,” said Cohen. “I’m excited to be back on stage to host such a big year for Clio and help them celebrate the creative community that keeps things interesting for consumers year after year.”
